Freelance journalist, Aug 2003 – Present

Handling features, news writing and online commissions for clients including: Charity Times, Charity Digital, Children and Young People Now, Community Care and PRWeek. Copywriting projects include an inclusion charter for the Every Disabled Child Matters campaign and Home.co.uk’s housing market guides. Online work includes producing video and podcast content for Fantasy Football Scout and launching music website neonfiller.com. Other work includes being a regular judge for the Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent competion.

PRWeek, journalist, Jan 2001 – Aug 2003

Joined as the magazine’s first public sector reporter and promoted to deputy news editor and acting news editor in 2002. Duties included editing, reporting, news desk management and commissioning.

Brighton Argus, reporter, Oct 1998 – May 2000

Worked as a general news reporter and set up a district office covering East Sussex in April 1999. Left to travel in Australia and Asia for six months.

Eastbourne Herald and Gazette series, reporter, May 1997 – Oct 1998

Joined as a news reporter working across four weekly titles. Promoted to chief reporter of the Seaford Gazette in 1997.
