Joe launched alternative music website Neonfiller.com in 2009 to provide a platform for aspiring music journalists and develop his online and social media skills. Joe manages a team of contributors for the website, writes reviews and articles using audio and video tools, edits the website and coordinates its social media presence.

The Glastonbury Festival team have called on Joe since 2012 to help judge entries in its Emerging Talent Competition.
